Q&A for Households

Why 3 for 2, 5 for 3 and 8 for 5?

Because laundry is easier to say yes to when the value is obvious.

  • send 3 loads, pay for 2
  • send 5 loads, pay for 3
  • send 8 loads, pay for 5

The more laundry you send, the better the value per load.

It’s our way of giving home customers access to bulk-style laundry pricing, without asking you to commit to an ongoing plan.

No subscription.
No monthly membership.
No complicated laundry maths.

Just choose how much laundry you want off your plate, and we’ll collect, wash, dry, fold and return it ready to put away.

Why not just pay per load?

You can, but the better value sits in the laundry bundles.

Most homes don’t only have “one load” of laundry. There are clothes, towels, schoolwear, gym kit, bedding, workwear and the pile that somehow keeps coming back.

Our 3 for 2, 5 for 3 and 8 for 5 offers are designed to help you clear more of the pile at once, while bringing the cost per load down.

It’s still once-off.
It’s still flexible.
It’s just better value when you send more.

Is this a subscription or monthly membership?

No.

These are once-off laundry bundle offers. You choose the package you want, book your collection, and send your loads.

There is no automatic renewal, no monthly debit, and no ongoing commitment.

Use The Linen Club when you need help with the overflow, the weekly pile, the post-holiday reset, or simply because you want laundry off your list.

How does collection and delivery work?

Once you choose your laundry offer, you can schedule your collection.

We collect your laundry from your home, process it through our Everyday Care service, and return it washed, dried, folded, packed neatly and ready to put away.

Standard turnaround is usually within 48 hours, usually quicker, depending on route timing, volume and service area.

No waiting around at laundromats.
No sorting out machines.
No “is the washing done yet?” cycle.

Just laundry collected, handled and returned.

What counts as one load?

One load is a standard TLC everyday laundry load.

As a guide, think of one normal laundry bag or basket of everyday washing, around the size of a typical household machine load.

If a bag is heavily overfilled, unusually bulky, or cannot be safely carried or processed as one load, we may split it into more than one load.

The aim is to keep things fair, practical and easy to understand.

What can I send?

Our Everyday Care service is ideal for normal household laundry, including:

  • clothes
  • towels
  • schoolwear
  • gym kit
  • sleepwear
  • basics
  • workwear
  • ordinary weekly laundry

It’s perfect for the laundry that keeps the house busy in the background.

What should not go into Everyday Care?

Some items need more time, space or attention than a normal laundry load.

The following may be quoted separately:

  • duvets
  • heavy blankets
  • bulky bedding
  • delicate items
  • dry-clean-only items
  • stain rescue
  • ironing
  • special-care garments
  • separate-load requests

If we spot something that needs extra care, we’ll flag it before processing where possible.

Everyday Care vs Special Care

Most laundry belongs in Everyday Care.

That’s your normal household flow: clothes, towels, schoolwear, gym kit, sleepwear, basics and weekly wash-and-fold.

Special Care exists for the items you’d rather not leave to chance:

  • activewear
  • delicates
  • lighter fabrics
  • colour-sensitive garments
  • low-heat requests
  • separate-load requests
  • “please take extra care with this” items

Simple where it should be.
Thoughtful where it matters.

Can I still do some laundry myself?

Absolutely.

Most homes don’t need us to replace everything they already do.

Many customers use The Linen Club for:

  • the weekly overflow
  • towels
  • bedding loads
  • schoolwear catch-ups
  • gym kit
  • busy weeks
  • post-holiday laundry
  • the pile that got away

Think of us as a laundry top-up, not an all-or-nothing service.

You keep doing what works at home. We handle the load you don’t want to think about.

What actually changes when I use TLC?

The biggest thing is that laundry stops taking up so much mental space.

You stop wondering:

  • when to do it
  • whether the pile is too big
  • whether the towels are done
  • whether the bedding still needs attention
  • whether Sunday is about to disappear into laundry again

You send the loads out.
They come back clean, folded and ready to put away.
The house feels reset.

That’s the real product.

Is this only for large families?

Not at all.

The 3 for 2 offer works well for singles, couples and smaller homes who just want a reset.

The 5 for 3 offer is ideal for busy homes, schoolwear, towels, gym kit and general weekly overflow.

The 8 for 5 offer is best for families, bigger households, post-holiday laundry, seasonal catch-ups or serious pile control.

Choose the size of the problem you want us to take off your plate.

What areas do you service?

We currently focus on selected Cape Town route areas, including the Southern Suburbs, City Bowl and nearby neighbourhoods.

Typical service areas include:

  • Constantia
  • Claremont
  • Newlands
  • Rondebosch
  • Bishopscourt
  • Gardens
  • Oranjezicht
  • Tamboerskloof
  • Sea Point
  • Green Point
  • Cape Town City Centre
  • Camps Bay
  • Pinelands
  • Observatory
  • Woodstock

If you’re nearby but outside those areas, get in touch. We may still be able to accommodate you depending on route density and availability.

Why does good laundry care matter?

Honestly? Most of us don’t realise how hard everyday laundry can be on clothes and linen.

Overdrying, overheated washing, poor sorting, aggressive cycles and rushed folding can quietly shorten the life of fabrics over time. Colours dull. Whites grey. Elasticity weakens. Bedding loses softness. Technical fabrics can lose performance.

At The Linen Club, we approach laundry more like a hotel-grade care operation:

  • sensible cycle selection
  • label checks
  • careful drying
  • proper folding
  • neat packing
  • Special Care options where needed

Not every item needs luxury treatment, but thoughtful handling helps clothing and linen feel better, last longer and come back properly finished.

What makes The Linen Club feel different?

Hotel-grade laundry is not just about getting things clean.

It’s about:

  • consistency
  • convenience
  • proper folding
  • clear turnaround windows
  • neat returns
  • fewer laundry decisions
  • cleaner cupboards
  • a home that feels put back together

Or as we like to say:

Laundry, but calmer.
